So do something, be someone! Many are big talkers saying they are going to do this or they're going to do that. Who you are is your choice, based on what you do and how you do it. And I think this quote is referring not just to the reputation of your character but also the reputation of your work.
So what does your reputation say about you? Does it say what you want it to say? Can you change it if it's not what you want???

I would hope that my reputation is that I'm hardworking and always earn exactly what I achieve. That I don't take short cuts and that I'm honest.
I think playing sports growing up set those characteristics in me and I hope that others would be able to see that too.
